• Received the Best poster award for a paper on ‘Community-Based Ecotourism as a tool for biodiversity management: A case study of Manas Maozigendri Ecotourism Society, Assam’ in the National Seminar on “Management of Natural Resources for Sustainable Development: Challenges and opportunities” Organised by Mizoram University, Aizawl held on 6th -7th March, 2014.

• Qualified UGC- NET (JRF) for eligibility for lectureship held on 24/06/2012.

• Awarded the University medal for standing first at the M.A/M.Sc. (Geography) Examination, 2012 by Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (U.P).
