Vision & Mission

Nowgong Girls’ College was founded by many eminent personalities with a dream to herald in a society in which women would enjoy equal opportunity with men in professional and public fields. In this, they were ably supported by the founding faculty who were highly educated and independent minded with a deep concern for quality of education they imparted. They were also driven by the spirit of empowering women through quality education. As early pioneers, they worked with single-minded devotion in setting the traditions and conventions of the Institution. These attributes of total dedication have contributed in a large measure to the position of distinction occupied by the College today. Over six decades of its existence, the College has grown from strength to strength, continuing to provide an atmosphere of high academic excellence and rich cultural activities to its students. It is thus through the vision and mission of these founders that the college has established itself as a premiere institution of higher learning.
