Profile
Education as an academic discourse involves acquiring knowledge about behavior development, developing ones personality, remolding students into productive members of the society and promoting socio-cultural values and attitudes. Apart from career prospects in the different fields of academics, Education not only opens up possibilities for research but also employment opportunities in education management and education technology. Social welfare projects seek students of Education and its specialized branches such as human resource development and educational psychology. The Department of Education uses a variety of teaching and learning techniques to impart knowledge and skills to students. Many of the students of this Department are actively engaged in professional fields such as teaching, government services, voluntary organizations etc. As part of the curriculum, the teachers and students together offer their extension services in various organizations and institutions.
